Roles & Engagement Models
What types of leadership roles do you take on?
I take on executive leadership roles across Marketing, Product, and General Management. Common mandates include:
- Marketing Leadership: Fractional CMO, Full-Time CMO, or Marketing Director.
- Product Leadership: Head of Product, Product Director, or Lead Product Manager.
- Commercial & GTM Leadership: Senior Go-To-Market (GTM) Lead or Commercial Director.
- General Management: Business Unit Lead or Managing Director for technology, telecom, or commercial transformation environments.
Mandates range from establishing new organizations and launching product lines to filling critical leadership vacancies or steering commercial transitions. My approach combines strategic direction with operational execution: defining the vision, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving the roadmap.
What is the core difference between bringing you in versus hiring a marketing agency?
Marketing agencies operate externally, typically billing for production hours, campaign deliverables, or media retainers. They rarely hold internal accountability for cross-departmental alignment, sales pipeline velocity, or bottom-line business results.
As an embedded leader, I operate directly inside your management structure, working closely with executive leadership, sales, product development, operations, and finance. The objective is business outcomes, team capability building, and sustainable commercial traction rather than selling additional agency services.
What engagement models and commitment options are available?
Engagements are structured flexibly around your organization's specific goals and lifecycle stage:
- Full-Time Executive Leadership: Leading a department, managing a business unit, or filling a critical leadership gap to maintain momentum and team direction.
- Fractional Leadership: Providing senior strategic steering, roadmap governance, and team mentoring on a defined weekly schedule (such as 1 to 3 days per week).
- Project-Based GTM & Product Mandates: Focused execution for high-stakes product launches, commercial reorganizations, or market entries.
- Transition to Permanent Leadership: Establishing and structuring a new leadership role, building the operating foundation, and helping onboard a permanent successor when the organization is ready.
Where are you based, and how do you organize your working setup?
I am based in Antwerp. I typically operate in a hybrid setup: 2 to 3 days per week at my office in Antwerp, and 2 to 3 days on-site at the client.
This balance provides dedicated focus time for strategy, architecture, and planning, combined with close, in-person collaboration with your executive team and commercial departments.
Track Record, Sectors & Market Experience
How is your experience divided between B2C, B2B, and SME markets?
My background combines deep experience across consumer, business, and SME markets:
This dual foundation brings the speed, analytical rigor, and customer-journey discipline of consumer marketing directly into complex B2B sales cycles and SME go-to-market channels.
Which specific industries do you have a proven track record in?
My career is anchored in four core industries:
- Telecommunications & Connectivity: Nationwide fiber rollouts, mobile network migrations, broadband, and multiplay portfolios (Telenet, Fiberklaar, BASE, Orange).
- Payroll & HR Services: Product strategy, market research, and GTM leadership for self-employed and corporate segments (Acerta).
- Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) & Cloud Tech: International product marketing, PR, and growth strategy for multibrand software suites across Europe (Mobilexpense).
- Energy & Utilities: 360° marketing, product management, commodity, and value-added smart services in deregulated markets (Essent, Eni).
How do you approach Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and product launches?
GTM is built on commercial reality and tight cross-functional alignment. Having orchestrated major launches (such as Fiberklaar's nationwide startup-to-market activation, next-gen TV and mobile migrations at Telenet, and multi-segment product roadmaps at Acerta), I structure launches across five core areas:
- Customer research & insights: Identifying real buying triggers and competitive differentiation.
- Packaging and pricing: Designing commercial models aligned with market expectations and gross margin requirements.
- Sales enablement: Equipping direct sales, partner channels, and customer-facing teams with high-clarity collateral and playbooks.
- Cross-channel activation: Coordinated 360° campaigns across digital, partner, and direct touchpoints.
- Feedback loops: Real-time iteration on conversion metrics and customer feedback.
The objective is ensuring marketing and product teams generate qualified opportunities that sales can close predictably.
Engagement Terms, AI Capabilities & Continuity
How quickly can an engagement start, and what is the onboarding approach?
Availability is evaluated upon initial consultation based on active commitments.
Because of 25+ years of operational experience across complex sectors, there is no lengthy ramp-up curve. I immediately immerse myself in your commercial objectives, product roadmap, unit economics, and team structure, identifying operational priorities and stabilizing execution without administrative delay.
What role do AI workflows and rapid prototyping play in your approach?
As an early adopter of Generative AI (working hands-on with tools like Gemini, Claude, Google Antigravity, and Pletor), I integrate AI directly into commercial operations and product development.
Through my Advisory & Labs initiative, I build working prototypes, validate value propositions, and automate workflows. This technical edge allows organizations to move from strategic concept to working reality quickly, reducing time-to-market and development risk without falling for industry hype.
How do you ensure long-term continuity when an assignment ends?
Sustainable continuity is established throughout the engagement. All strategies, go-to-market playbooks, vendor relationships, and operational frameworks are systematically documented.
When a client transitions the role to an internal successor, I actively support the hiring process, evaluate candidate competencies, and conduct a structured handover to guarantee that team velocity and commercial results continue without disruption.
